The American Evaluation Association (AEA) is now accepting session proposal submissions for Evaluation 2018 taking place October 28 – November 3 in Cleveland, Ohio. Evaluation 2018, AEA’s Annual Conference, focuses on best practices and trends impacting the field of evaluation and evaluative research. Submit your proposal on a topic following one of these presentation types: panel discussions, expert lectures, roundtables, skill building workshops, ignite sessions, and birds of a feather gatherings. Don’t miss this opportunity to present in front of a global audience of more than 3,000 colleagues.
DEADLINE: Proposal Submissions must be received by 11:59 PM ET March 15, 2018.
This year’s theme, Speaking Truth to Power, selected by President Leslie Goodyear, has been used by social justice activists, clergy, academics, journalists, politicians, and evaluators to describe taking a stand, speaking out. By submitting a proposal, you can join your evaluation colleagues in a lively, critical conversation about the role of evaluators and evaluation. As you think about how you might contribute to this important dialogue, consider these questions as catalysts for your presentations, panels, posters, and even performances and other creative session formats for Evaluation 2018:
What responsibilities do we have as evaluators for Speaking Truth to Power? When? In what contexts or situations? With what consequences? At what risk or cost? To whom, with what expectations?
Visit the AEA website to learn more about Speaking Truth to Power and join Leslie Goodyear for a live Coffee Break presentation to hear more about this year’s theme.
